Money Is Something External to Us
In our lives, we often hear the saying that "money is something external to us." What does this really mean?
First of all, money is just a tool for exchange. In ancient times, people used barter to get what they needed. But as society developed, money was created. We use money to buy food, clothes, houses, and other things. However, these things that money can buy are not the most important in our lives. For example, our health can't be purchased with money. No matter how rich a person is, if he falls ill, he will suffer just like everyone else. Good health allows us to enjoy life, and money can't bring it back once it's lost.
Secondly, money can't buy true love and friendship. True friends are those who support us, share our joys and sorrows, and are always there for us, not because of our wealth. Love between family members is also priceless. A poor family with love can be much happier than a wealthy family filled with conflicts. We can't use money to create deep emotional bonds with others.
Moreover, our dreams and passions are not determined by money. Many great artists, scientists, and inventors pursued their dreams not for money. They dedicated themselves to their fields because of their love and curiosity. Van Gogh, for instance, was poor throughout his life, but his paintings are now priceless. He created them because of his passion for art, not for financial gain.
In conclusion, although money is necessary for our daily lives, we should not be controlled by it. We should understand that there are many more valuable things in the world that money can't buy. We should focus on our health, relationships, dreams, and other precious aspects of life, and remember that money is just something external to us.
